These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FOCAL. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
FOCAL is a vision wellness application that uses Gabor patch technology and structured visual training exercises to support eye health and visual performance. The app is intended for general wellness purposes only.
FOCAL is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any eye condition, disease, or medical disorder. Results may vary between individuals.
Always consult a qualified eye care professional or physician before beginning any vision training programme, especially if you have a pre-existing eye condition, have undergone eye surgery, or experience any discomfort during use.
Discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice if you experience eye strain, discomfort, headaches, or any unusual visual symptoms.
FOCAL offers a subscription-based service. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to the plan you select. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled directly by Apple or Google — please refer to their respective terms for details.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
All content within FOCAL — including but not limited to the training methodology, visual exercises, interface design, graphics, and written content — is the exclusive property of FOCAL and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our prior written consent.
FOCAL grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer its technology, or use it in any way that could damage or overburden our systems.
FOCAL is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly permit access to minors.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FOCAL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any vision outcomes or health-related results. Your use of FOCAL is at your own risk.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
